July River Clean Up!

Join The DEN Collaborative Real Estate Team for our semi-monthly River Clean Up in the foothills of Denver! Limited, register to secure your spot today.

What to bring: Yourself, water, a yummy lunch, and a picnic blanket for break time. Please also feel free to bring friends! ALL trash-picking supplies will be provided including safety vests, gloves, trash pickers, buckets, and bags. We even have waders if you feel like getting IN the river to clean!!

Location: Near Blackhawk off HWY 119 - We will meet at Z-Stop Gas Station and caravan to the pull-off area. For those joining later, our cars will be marked with orange cones around mile marker 3 on Highway 119.

Let's give Mother Earth the bit of love she deserves!

This is a volunteer opportunity in the mountains of Colorado. There are inherent risks to spending time in this area, including but not limited to: unruly river conditions, poisonous snakes and other animals and insects, bad drivers on the road, dangerous trash items including broken glass and needles, etc. Please use caution and discretion while considering this event and also while in attendance. Safety is our FIRST priority!

Info: Everyone will meet at the gas station to caravan to the actual pull-off spot! If you'd prefer to carpool into the mountains - please reach out to coordinate that 2+ days in advance.

Info: We'll distribute gear and go over safety measures while hiking "in" and around the river.

Info: If you'd like, we have waders you can wear to get the trash out of the river - or you're welcome to work along the edges. Some folks like to work in pairs while others prefer solitude. Your individual strengths are valued immensely, as we each have something to bring to the table.

Info: As each of our bags becomes full of trash, we'll set them alongside the path. When everyone is finished cleaning up, we'll get big black trashbags and put all of the smaller bags into those. This process takes just a few minutes with everyone pitching in and it's amazing to see it all come together into one large pile.

Info: Ahhh, finally - time to relax after our hard work! We sit on blankets by the river and after a good hand sanitizer moment, eat our lunch. It's a nice moment to be able to recap the wild things found that day and how good it feels to have made a difference in our little corner of the world. We hope you can join us!
