Who’s ready to celebrate the 4th of July in Glenside? 🤩🇺🇸
The Greater Glenside Patriotic Association (GGPA) sponsors July 4th Independence Day celebration events in Glenside, PA, each year. The parade began in 1904 and is one of the nation's oldest consecutively run 4th of July parades.
This three-tiered event features a grand starburst of patriotism, starting with a morning children's program at Harry Renninger Park, then a huge, colorful parade at 4:00 PM, and finally an after-dark fireworks spectacular above Abington High School's athletic and playing fields. All events are admission-free and sponsored by the non-profit GGPA and its volunteer membership.
Over recent years the community's action-filled July 4th observance has drawn record-breaking crowds while becoming the biggest, family friendly Independence Day Celebration in Greater Philadelphia's tri-state suburbs.
July 4th Events in Glenside:
10:00 AM: Children's Morning Program held at Harry Renninger Park (will include quilt raffle winner drawing and crowning of Little Mr. and Miss Glenside!)
3:45 PM: Fastest on the Fourth race (down the parade route)
