Gather & Gab at Holmwood

Join us for Holmwood Gather & Gab! We’re excited to launch a brand-new series of relaxed community meet-ups at Holmwood! Join us on the first and third Thursday of each month at 11:30 AM in our overflow café for a friendly chat over coffee.

Each session explores a fascinating topic related to Holmwood House, from the lives of its servants to the influence of Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson on Glasgow’s architecture. It’s a great opportunity to meet people from your local community while learning more about Holmwood, Thomson’s legacy, and the work of our charity to preserve this Southside gem!

July 3rd – The Historic Area of Cathcart Around Holmwood House.
How well do you know your own neighbourhood? This session is all about discovering your surroundings, uncovering the rich history of Cathcart, and learning about the people and places that have shaped the area around Holmwood House. A perfect chance for locals to connect with their community and its past!Free to attend – grab a coffee from the café and join the conversation!
