Glasgow Art Museum and galleries offer you a wide collection of art pieces, from artifacts, contemporary, abstract art to stunning architecture and more. Gallery of Modern Art the most popular modern art gallery in Scotland showcases works by local as well as international artists and also hosts workshops occasionally. Transmission Gallery, an artist-run gallery, displays the works of local emerging artists. Glasgow Print Studio, founded with an intent to promote contemporary and innovative printmaking by providing facilities and workshop space to artists using fine art printmaking, workshop, galleries and education space, and also run an open access printmaker’s workshop, which is a hub for printmaking classes, workshops for kids and creative family sessions. The Hunterian Art Gallery showcases the most distinguished public art collections in Scotland with works of Rubens, Rembrandt, Scottish Colourists and Glasgow Boys, also has on display magnificent works of James McNeill Whistler and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The Sculpture Courtyard has a small display of modern works by British artists. Kelvingrove Museum with its stunning architecture and 22 galleries, explores everything from art to animals, Ancient Egypt to Charles Rennie Mackintosh showcasing the finest collections of arms and armour, paintings by Salvador Dali, European artworks and more.
