Practical introduction to beekeeping with TBKA

Join us at our club apiary at Saltwell park for a hands-on practical experience in modern beekeeping.

This session caters for:
-Individuals intrigued by beekeeping, regardless of prior experience
-Novice beekeepers seeking to enhance their practical skills and boost confidence
-A unique gift experience

What is included?
-A 3 hour hands-on practical experience inspecting the honey bee colonies at our teaching apiary
-An overview of hive components and their functions in a modern beehive
-Guidance on proper handling and care of honey bees to ensure safety and well-being
-Discussion on the common challenges and issues encountered in beekeeping and how to address them
-Beekeeping equipment including bee suits and gloves are provided for this experience (participants are advised to wear appropriate trousers and footwear like boots or wellies)
