David Dondero is a legendary songwriter from Minnesota. Formerly of Sunbrain and seminal folk-punk band "This Bike is a Pipe Bomb," Dondero has now long been a wandering troubador.
He's influenced artists from Conor Oberst to Laura Jane Grace, played with everyone from Mountain Goats to Billy Joe Shaver to Daniel Johnston and Godspeed You Black Emperor.
He was named one of the top ten living songwriters by NPR.
Yet no wave of fame has swept him up.
Dondero’s lyrics are influenced by the angst of Black Flag, the wanderlust of Bruce Springsteen, the sentimentality of Paul Simon, and the politics of Woody Guthrie.
From our perspective, we can't believe our luck. This is going to be a phenomenal show. If you want to see something real, come to this show. Dondero, as has been said over and over throughout his career, is the real deal.

We are ecstatic to add Kenny Tompkins as the opener for this show. In addition to being (most people around here know) an amazing songwriter, bandleader of Mr. Husband, and generally solid guy, he is also a longtime fan of Mr. Dondero. Therefore he has finagled his work schedule to get here for it.
May we all do the same.
Tickets available online or at the door. Ticketed entry only.
Food, espresso bar, cocktail bar, beer and wine will be available.
