The Bookshop welcomes Michael Robert Liska of Upper Black Eddy, novelist, writing professor, and co-host of the "lowbrow Shakespeare podcast" What Ho...A Rat!! , on the release date of his provocative historical novel "Alice, or The Wild Girl," published by Heresy Press/Skyhorse.
"Alice, or The Wild Girl" ranges from 1850's French Polynesia to San Francisco, and uses the bond between an aging American naval commander and a speechless, shipwrecked young girl to explore still-relevant questions of freedom, identity, and the landscape of 19th-Century America.
Join us to congratulate Michael on his book. Wine and snacks will be served, courtesy of the author. Free and all are welcome.
