En aften i jazzens tegn, hvor tre vidt forskellige grupper – som alle har fundet hinanden i Berlins levende musikmiljø – byder på deres egne unikke bud på, hvad improvisation, samspil og musikalsk nysgerrighed kan være. Fra intime nordiske toner til rå, eksperimenterende energi og filmiske lydlandskaber – denne koncert samler nogle af den unge nordiske og europæiske jazzscenes mest spændende stemmer.

IRMA NEUMÜLLER & SETH SJÖSTRÖM
Irma Neumüller og Seth Sjöström er to svenske musikere og komponister, som fandt sammen på grund af deres fælles kærlighed til jazz og improvisation. I dette projekt fortolker de deres egen originale musik, såvel som jazzstandarder og deres foretrukne svenske folke- og popsange i en unik og intim ramme. Musikken bygger på elementer fra jazztraditionen og den moderne nordiske jazzscene samt den svenske folkemusikarv.
De sidste par år har Irma og Seth spillet i mange forskellige projekter og konstellationer, både i Sverige og Nordeuropa, og de har begge skabt sig et navn på den nordiske jazzscene.
Duoens debutalbum blev indspillet i april og udkommer i efteråret 2025.

GARLIC NAAN
Er et ungt projekt bestående af stortalenterne Steven Moser (AT), Seth Sjöström (SE), Jacob Reisener (DE) og Carlo Dayyani (DK). Drengene kender hinanden fra musikmiljøet i Berlin, hvor de alle har studeret på Jazz Institute Berlin.
De er fundet sammen om en på samme tid rå og skrøbelig lyd, hvor inspiration fra jazz og rock finder sammen i et intenst og dynamisk udtryk. De er ikke bange for at dvæle ved og finde kunstnerisk dybde i simple idéer, ligesom de heller ikke er bange for, at lade virvar af soniske indtryk til at udtrykke noget banalt.
Til koncerten kan man forvente originale kompositioner, fri improvisation samt udvalgte numre, som gruppen tager i støbeskeen og præsenterer på nye og spændende måder.

BIGGER PICTURE
Er et kollektiv af musikere baseret i Berlin, hvis musik centrerer sig om kompositioner af Tobias Bech (DK) og Laurie Rich (UK). Duoen mødtes i marts 2024 og udviklede hurtigt et fælles musikalsk sprog, inspireret af fri improvisation, moderne jazz og global folkemusik. I 2024 indspillede de 11 numre i det legendariske Hansa Studios, og kort efter blev kvartetten "Bigger Picture" dannet med den svenske bassist Seth Sjöström og den tyske trommeslager Dominik Witte. Gruppens koncerter i Berlin blev velmodtagne, hvilket har ført til planlagte turnéer, blandet andet i Storbritannien i januar/februar 2025.

IRMA NEUMÜLLER & SETH SJÖSTRÖM
Irma Neumüller and Seth Sjöström are two Swedish musicians and composers who connected through their mutual love for jazz and improvisation. In this project, they interpret their own original music, as well as jazz standards and beloved Swedish folk and pop songs, all within a unique and intimate framework. Their sound is rooted in elements from the jazz tradition, modern Nordic jazz, and Swedish folk heritage.
Over the past few years, Irma and Seth have played in a variety of projects and constellations across Sweden and Northern Europe, and both have established themselves as strong voices on the Nordic jazz scene.
The duo's debut album was recorded in April and will be released in the fall of 2025.

GARLIC NAAN
Garlic Naan is a young and dynamic project featuring the talents of Steven Moser (AT), Seth Sjöström (SE), Jacob Reisener (DE) and Carlo Dayyani (DK). The band members met through Berlin’s music scene, where they all studied at the Jazz Institute Berlin.
Together, they have cultivated a sound that is both raw and fragile — drawing on jazz and rock influences to create an intense and dynamic expression. They are not afraid to dwell in simplicity and explore artistic depth within it, nor to embrace sonic chaos in expressing something profoundly simple.
At the concert, expect original compositions, free improvisation, and reimagined pieces — all delivered with creativity and spontaneity.

BIGGER PICTURE
Bigger Picture is a Berlin-based collective centered around the compositions of Tobias Bech (DK) and Laurie Rich (UK). The duo met in March 2024 and quickly developed a shared musical language, inspired by free improvisation, modern jazz, and global folk traditions.
In 2024, they recorded 11 tracks at the legendary Hansa Studios, and shortly after, the full quartet “Bigger Picture” was formed with Swedish bassist Seth Sjöström and German drummer Dominik Witte. Their concerts in Berlin have been warmly received and have led to upcoming tours, including performances in the UK in January/February 2025.
