Roots and Renewal: Finding Recovery on Your Sacred Pathway is a supportive and empowering workshop for those walking the path of sobriety as a pagan. Jenn and Renee will blend practical tips for maintaining sobriety, compassionate guidance for navigating relapse, and personal stories from their lived experiences. This gathering invites participants to root into their values, reconnect with their spiritual practices, and renew their commitment to healing. Grounded in Earth-based wisdom and inclusive of all Pagan traditions, this space honors each person’s unique journey while offering tools, ritual, and community for sustained recovery. Whether you are new to the journey, seeking to deepen your path, or sober curious, this workshop offers a sacred space to reconnect, reclaim, and root into your healing.
Renee (she/her) is 10 years sober from opiates and alcohol (with a 5 month alcohol relapse in 2022-23). She found somatic movement so beneficial in her journey that she completed her 500 hr yoga teacher certification which focused on adaptive trauma informed yoga and included certificates in trauma healing and somatic movement instruction. She is also a certified SMART Recovery facilitator. Renee is an energy worker and shadow walker following a non-theistic pagan path.
Jenn (she/they) is almost two years sober from cannabis and alcohol. She acquired her 200 hr trauma informed yoga teacher training certification in 2025, and credits the yogic philosophy with helping her change her mindset about addiction, suffering, and recovery. She is also a practicing heathen and witch.
