Now that the ashes of Area 31 have long since settled the folks that brought you Cinemondays, Writer Wednesdays, Open Screen, Indie First Runs and more are back with the soft launch of a new downtown screening room.

'The short film format is much more than just a training ground for features, it is a medium all its own. The condensed time constraints allow an artist to focus on technique or concept in ways virtually impossible with long form filmmaking. The Frederick Junk Co is a new multi-use space offering video production gear rentals through Archai Media, space rentals for private events and shoots, and a screening room. We hope it will become one of the many nooks in downtown that fosters and inspires creativity through partnerships with fellow organizations such as Silvervox.
