Progressive Arnis on the Lawn
Saturday July 5th at Yonder | Suggested Donation: $10–15
Practice sticks provided
Step onto the lawn and into the rhythm of Progressive Arnis—a dynamic martial art from the Philippines that combines stick work, open-hand techniques, joint locks, disarms, and full-body flow. Whether you're new to martial arts or looking to deepen your practice, this outdoor class is an empowering way to build skill, strength, and confidence.
You’ll explore the foundations of Arnis (also known as Kali or Eskrima) using lightweight practice sticks—provided for class—as you train coordination, reflexes, and real-world self-protection strategies in a safe, supportive environment.
What you’ll gain:
✔️ Real-world self-defense skills using sticks and open-hand techniques
✔️ Boosted hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
✔️ Cardiovascular fitness and functional strength
✔️ Better balance and body awareness
✔️ Understanding of traditional weapons and flow
✔️ Encouragement, empowerment, and fun with a supportive community
Come move, learn, and empower yourself—no experience necessary, just a willingness to try something new. And when class is done, feel free to wander into Yonder and grab your weekend treats.
