My Summer Journey (MSJ) is a summer program for teens with autism, ages 13-19. Our fun-filled days help keep the teens in a routine that can make the transition back to school much easier. The focus of the program is to make new friends along with working on life and social skills.
Week 1 - June 9th to 13th session; Theme: Build It, Create It, Design It (building forts, pottery making, build race cars)
Week 2 - June 16th to 20th session; Theme: Travel The USA (hula dancing, ways to travel, desert activities)
Week 3 - June 23rd to 27th session; Theme: The Game Of Life (piggy bank, recipe box, community helpers)
My Summer Journey participants will meet and be picked up at Franklin Community High School in Franklin, Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. My Summer Journey will have a themed curriculum along with several community outings throughout each session. Each week will have goals and targeted skills like social skills, creativity, independence, community building, and self regulation. Participants will enjoy group activities, cooking, science experiments, and more.
MSJ Participants must be able to attend the full week and can register for multiple sessions as long as the session has not reached the limit of participants. We have a new policy in place for My Summer Journey payments. My Summer Journey sessions costs $150 each and all payments are private pay. $50 deposit is required for each session at registration for all MSJ participants nonrefundable to guarantee their spot in the program. Then $100 is due for each session by May 1st before camp starts.
ACC can provide financial assistance to a limited number of families who cannot afford to pay the fees who want to participate with My Summer Journey. To request a financial assistance application, email

MSJ Participants must be able to follow all the requirements below:
Be successful in small group settings
Can participate in group activities for 10-15 minutes
Possess communication skills to express needs and wants
Is independent with personal hygiene
Does not require 1:1 behavioral support
Is not a flight risk
