Active Parenting: The First Five Years
This course is designed to give parents and caregivers the guidance and support they need to care for children’s early life and development. This program teaches a balanced approach to nurture kids with freedom and nonviolent discipline. Participants will explore topics like understanding cries, developmental stages, building bonds, mindfulness, effective discipline, preparing for school success, and more.
Class will meet once a week on Tuesday evenings in two hour sessions for four weeks. This class is offered in person and online via Zoom. Dinner will be offered for in-person participants. This class will only be offered if attendance has met the minimum requirement. Participants will be given certification of proof upon completion of the program. Active attendance and participation is required.
