I am super excited to announce that on Saturday, October 11th we will host our first annual 828 Treasure Quest to benefit KIDS Place. The event kicks off at The Macon County Rec Park with a field day competition where teams of two will compete in an array of physical and mental challenges that will test both their intellectual and athletic prowess. The top 5 field day contestants, along with the team that raises the most money for KIDS Place prior to the event, will advance onto the treasure hunt for a chance to win $10,000.
Advancing teams will be taken to an undisclosed location in the town of Franklin to compete in an action-packed, team-based adventure where participants will race against the clock to complete challenges, solve clues, and travel from checkpoint to checkpoint across a series of exciting locations. Once they have completed their final challenge they will receive a treasure map that will lead them to the treasure. The first team to arrive will win $10,0000….the second team to arrive will receive $2,000 and the 3rd place team will receive $1,000.
It’s definitely not over until it is over….so there will be a PHASE 2 of the field day for any remaining participants who do not advance on to the treasure hunt. They will be given a second chance to go back through the field day in order to compete for a chance to win gift certificates, prizes and $1,000.
There will be music, vendors, food trucks, and more!!
