Come together with Smoky Mountain Harm Reduction for our 12th Annual Night of Hope!
On Sunday 8/31/25, SMHR stands together with more than 350 other communities in the US and so many more across the world in rememberance of International Overdose Awareness Day.
We will gather at the Macon County Recreation Park, Large Pavilion, behind the pool in Franklin, 2188 Georgia Road, Macon County, NC.
Night of Hope is a free event for all people including kids. There is a large parking lot, a kids park, and outdoor public bathrooms.
Free Pasta Dinner and Homemade Desserts while supplies last
Key Note Speaker: Murk, a young man personally impacted by substance use
Luminaries with candles at dusk, including the reading of the names
Overdose Reversal Training and Naloxone Kit
Family Activities including rock painting, making a luminary for a loved one, and submitting your loved ones name for a Trail of Truth memorial cemetery art installation.
Trail of Truth is an artistic event started by Truth Pharm with a powerful purpose to memorialize our loved ones lost to substance use related causes, while using the magnitude of our collective loss to create change.
On 9/27/25, SMHR will join Truth Pharm in our nation's capital for Trail of Truth National. NC's stones will join more than 4,000 loved ones on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
