Celebrate the first day of Summer!
Celebrate the longest day of the year! Join Fleet Feet Fort Wayne for our Third Annual Summer Solstice Sun Run Challenge.
The Challenge is as Follows: First Runners/Walkers can celebrate the 15 hours of daylight on June 20th by first running/walking on Your Own at or near sunrise ( Sunrise is at 5:44am!) on the morning of June 20th (Then take a photo of your run, you must have proof ... picture of sunrise, watch etc.) and then join us at Fleet Feet Fort Wayne 5661 Coventry Lane that evening for an evening sunset run at 6:30pm.
(Yeah, yeah we know sunset is not until 9:11pm that day but it is a "Friday" and some of us have to get to bed and get ready for the next day!)
Runners/ Walkers who do the challenge will receive a special commemorative Sun Run Challenge Champion shirt for completing the Challenge.
All runners and walkers may also just join us for the evening run only if they so choose. But only those who have proof of running both AM and PM will receive the shirt!
And then........The Bar is Open!! All runners and walkers will be rewarded with a Malibu Sunrise Craft Cocktail or other
summer adult beverages or mocktail after completing the evening run. We will have one of our Fleet Feet bartenders mixing up summer drinks to get you ready for all those summer celebrations.
Finally there will be a raffle, games, giveaways and some fun summer themed snacks. The men's evening 5K and women's evening 5K winners will receive a Fleet Feet Gift Card.
