**Event Description:**
Join us on June 7, to celebrate @AmericanHiking #NationalTrailsDay. Together we’ll leave the trails and the outdoor community better than we found them. Everyone who takes the National Trails Day® pledge will be entered for a chance to win one of four outdoor gear prize packages. bit.ly/trails-day

**What to Expect:**
- **Hike & Maintain:** Armed with hand tools and a passion for preservation, volunteers will hike along the scenic DeSoto Scout Trail, lending a hand to keep the path clear and accessible for all. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to help and enjoy the outdoors!
- **Picnic Break:** Halfway through our journey, we’ll take a break to relax and recharge with a picnic surrounded by nature. Please bring your own packed lunch and any personal items you may need (water, snacks, sunscreen, etc.).
**What to Bring:**
- Comfortable hiking shoes
- Hand tools (if you have them; we will provide some)
- Water bottle
- Packed lunch for the picnic
- Sunscreen and insect repellent
- A spirit of camaraderie and adventure!
This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to our beloved local trails while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors and connecting with fellow nature enthusiasts. Let's work together to keep the DeSoto Scout Trail beautiful for all to enjoy!
