Casting range – hit the fish eye all kids win a prize.
Open classes on safety, rigging, baiting hooks, and tying knots.
Free bait and P.S.G. Volunteers will assist you with your fishing and measure your “catch”.
TWO AGE GROUPS: (4-8) & (9-15)
Prizes in each age group for the 3 largest fish caught and most fish caught.
Additionally, one lucky angler will receive the presidential award.
This Angler may not be the star angler of the day but will be the angler who exemplifies the true spirt of angling. This is a subjective award. An import part of angling is enjoying the time outside on the water, the thrill of the pursuit, friends and family,
CONTEST RULES
All contestants must bring their fishing rod & reel.
All contestants must check in at the registration table. (Registration time 7:30 am – 8:30 am)
No registrations are accepted after 8:30 am.
No fishing is allowed before the official contest starting time ( 8:30 am)
Each contestant must use only one fishing rod and reel.
Parents are not allowed to fish during the contest.
Parents may help with rigging, baiting, and casting fishing rods only.
Parents may not assist in hooking or helping to reel in fish.
Winning fish will be determined by overall length. (nose to the tip of tail)
All ties and any other decisions will be made by the Pasadena Sportfishing Group.
