Event: Whittling with Will

Learn a new skill and craft – whittling with wood.

Whittling, or wood carving, is a fun and creative activity. It's a great way to introduce kids to safe knife skills. And with the right know-how and adult supervision, there's no need for it to be risky, so come along and learn from an expert in a natural setting.

What are the recommended ages for this session?

For safety reasons, this activity is for children aged 13 and over; however, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Do all participants require a ticket?

If you want to learn whittling, you must purchase a ticket. All children must be accompanied by an adult; however, adults accompanying but not participating in the activity do not need to purchase a ticket.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds are only given under exceptional circumstances or if the event is cancelled by the organiser.

Do car parking charges apply?

A car parking charge of £5 per car is in operation at Brodie Castle and Estate. National Trust for Scotland members receive free car parking. If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of membership, please ask a member of our staff.

Do we need to bring anything?

Nothing! However, please note that the event is held outside, except in particularly bad weather. Therefore, dress appropriately in warm clothing, wet-weather gear, and suitable outdoor shoes.
