Event: Fire lighting with Will Hall

Join professional wildlife filmmaker and outdoor instructor, Will Hall, to learn how to safely light and control an outdoor fire.

Introducing children to firelighting using safe methods nurtures a healthy respect for the hazards of fire alongside their natural wonder for it.

What age is this session aimed at?

For safety reasons, this activity is for children aged 8–15; however, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Do all participants require a ticket?

Due to safety considerations, eight spaces are available for children at this event. Although all children must be accompanied by an adult, adults do not require a ticket.

Do we need to bring anything?

Nothing! However, please note that the event is held outside, except in particularly bad weather. Therefore, dress appropriately in warm clothing, wet-weather gear, and suitable outdoor shoes. Please consider clothing safety for this event, with no hanging sleeves, tassels, etc., and ensure the ability to tie long hair back.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds are only given under exceptional circumstances or if the event is cancelled by the organiser.

Do car parking charges apply?

A car parking charge of £5 per car is in operation at Brodie Castle and Estate. National Trust for Scotland members receive free car parking. If you are interested in learning more about the benefits of membership, please ask a member of our staff.
