Jeff Liverman plays the Blues

Jeff Liverman is guitarist, songwriter, and luthier living in Floyd VA.
For the last 15 years, Jeff has studying songs from the 1920’s and 30’s - inspired by the classic collection of music, The Anthology of American Folk Music, he has delve deeply in the early period of recorded music. Prior to moving to Floyd, Jeff played music and recorded in Richmond with his band Dirtball and most recently he helped launch a street music scene in Danville.

Liverman grew up in the fertile musical river valley of the James in and around Richmond VA. In 1988 he gathered together a group of musicians to form the Eastern European folk music band Pico Pico. This short-lived band spawned a number of Richmond super groups including BioRitmo, Chrome Daddy Disco, and Dirtball. Along with Dirtball, Liverman recorded three cds on Fundamental and Planetary Records.
