Essence of Summer Solstice Poetry Open MIC

Our resident poet, "Panhead Rod" Hatter, hosts a gathering of the poets to celebrate summer and our freedom of literary expression. Poetry open MIC's at SASS encourage us to dive deep, identify and share what is most meaningful and healing in writing, and in our everyday lives.

Featuring readings by Edith Cronk, host of the Florence Radio Poet Society on KXCR 90.7

Open to all ages (although there might be some limited adult themes) and members of the public. Please check out our selection of poetry books for sale in the Gallery while you're here, and connect with our poets to learn about additional events and offerings.

RSVP to let us know you're coming! Please leave a comment if you'd like to sign up to read, or sign up at the desk when you arrive. This will be a round robin format, but you may expect to have about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how many readers we get.
