Since time immemorial, humans have gathered around the fire and shared. Now in our modern day world, three basic human needs have fallen by the wayside or perhaps no longer highly valued in our modern society: Creativity, true Connection and Beauty. It is an innate human need to express creatively, experience beauty and connect deeply. When we don't meet those needs, the soul begins to shrivel and starve. The fire gives us an opportunity to warm ourselves, gather, and share. The fire feeds the starving heart.
Come and feed your heart and soul in community at Inner Nature as we gather around the fire and fill our spirits with connection and the beauty of poetry, while the flames dance and flicker. This is an evening where beautiful poems that stir the soul will be shared, where the hearts of our community allow themselves to be vulnerable, to be witnessed, to be appreciated. A special gathering, we will be reading excerpts from Tanya Pettit's new book: Life Is Poetry. At the close of this evening, you'll feel nourished in your heart and soul.
You are invited to bring a piece of personal poetry or a favorite poem by another author to share around the fire.
We will have the opportunity to witness and listen to poems written by our beloved community, and the opportunity to share our hearts through poem.
Tea and Cacao will be served, your choice of a warming beverage that soothes the body and activates the heart to sip on as we sit around the fire and listen to each other.
Please bring:
~dress for the weather; we will be outside
~a camp chair if you prefer (we have a few chairs and blankets around the fire)
~bug spray if needed
~personal poetry or a favorite poem if you feel called to share
~water
