What is Laughter Play Lab?
Our time together is a guided, interactive group space, where participants are encouraged to grow their comfort zone through acts of silliness and whimsical absurdity! We will play, laugh & improvise together, and be silly with sounds & movement! Moving at your own pace is imperative and inspired group silliness is encouraged!
If I can laugh...I can play.
If I can play...I can be curious.
If I am more curious...I am less fearful...
If I am less fearful...I can live a fuller life.
Without my breath, I cannot life. Thus, my connection to my breath, and awareness of how it communicates, is as foundational as food. What happens when we are aware of our breath?
What happens when we release breath through laughter!!?!?
In the simple act of laughing, we expel old, stale air and renew & replenish the body, mind, and spirit with fresh air. In turn, this aids & amplifies our inner connections, and ripples into how we navigate (respond/react to) life.
Mayo Clinic confirms this by stating that, "laughter is a great way to connect with other people
and induces physical changes in your body that may include:
● Enhance intake of oxygen-rich air
● Stimulate many organs, including the heart, lungs and muscles
● Activate and relieve stress response, resulting in a relaxed feeling
● Soothes tension, improve mood and lessens stress
● Improve your immune system
● Relieve pain by causing the body to produce its own natural painkillers”
The Laughter Play activation is followed by an invitation to travel with sound into the soul-scape. Laying down or seated, we close our time together with a Handpan & Vocal Infused Sound Journey Meditation. Similarly to laughter, these kinds of sounds have many similar benefits including:
● Calming the central nervous system & mind
● Reduces stress, headache, fatigue and anxiety
● Helps lower blood pressure
● Stimulate brainwave activity
Laughter Play Lab (aka: Lighten Up & Let Go) is an active-relaxation.

SARAH PAZ HYDE » Sarah’s somatic journey with music began with the violin at age four. Over the years, visual art modalities like analog large format photography, graphic design and block printing have rooted her deeper into creative heart space. In 2010 she became Laughter Yoga certified, and in 2016, upon discovering the handpan, she reignited her connection to music & her voice and began working with the breath through laughter. She now explores musical and vocal resonance as tools for self-healing, calmUNITY reframing, planetary & inner alchemical restoration through handpan infused community events, hands-on education, and sound meditation journeys.
