Memorial Event at Whippoorwill Academy and Village May 25th from 3-5:00 p.m.

Thank you to Sharon Carter Underwood, David Baker and Dick Martine for sprucing up the flag area at the village in preparation for our Memorial Event on May 25th at 3:00 a.m. Many thanks to the Wilkes Community College gardening department for donating these very needed flowers. Please come honor those who served our country. Bring a photo of your friend or family member who served to place on our memorial table. There will be a dedication of the new statue, a flag ceremony, quilts of valor presented with refreshments following. This event is free to the public.
The newly erected statue was the Eagle Scout project taken on by West Wilkes High senior, Seth Marley. Thank you, Seth for taking on such an important project. You honor so many brave individuals.
