Rainbow Bookbinding: A Pride-Inspired Workshop
Come Support the full spectrum of our community by creating wonderfully fabulous rainbow books!

About this Event

Celebrate Pride and the beauty of self-expression in this special edition of our hands-on bookbinding class—with a vibrant, rainbow twist!

Join us for a fun, welcoming evening where you'll learn how to create your own handmade book using recycled and upcycled materials. Whether it becomes a journal, sketchbook, zine, or a space to hold your ideas and memories, this is your chance to build something that reflects you.

We'll have a variety of colorful and inclusive materials on hand to inspire you—think rainbows, glitter, bold patterns, and more. Come make a book as bright or as subtle as you like, in a space that celebrates individuality, creativity, and community.

What to bring:

  • Your own flair: Bring special paper, fabric, stickers, thread, or personal scraps to give your book extra meaning.
  • Or bring nothing: Use what’s provided! We’ll have all kinds of donated materials to choose from.
  • Or bring extras to donate: Help keep the creativity flowing by contributing items like cardboard, paper, string, fabric, embroidery needles, beeswax, glue, scissors, and other crafty odds and ends.

This class is open to all ages, identities, and experience levels. Whether you’re here to make a journal, explore a new medium, or simply be in a joyful space during Pride, you’ll leave with something handmade and uniquely yours.
