Taught by experienced NRA certified instructors, this course goes beyond the standard for concealed carry. We teach fundamental, necessary skills for anyone who chooses to defend life with a firearm.
Our students are resolved to responsibly, confidently and effectively carry a firearm for daily protection. That requires the ability to conceal their firearm on their person and the ability to quickly and effectively employ that firearm in the face of a deadly threat.
We make our discussion of Missouri Law for Concealed Carry Permit Holders as practical as possible. Rather than simply review the statutes, we help our students develop their personal Mission, Rules of Engagement, Priority of Life, and Situational Awareness.
You’ll develop an understanding of how to observe your surroundings, make critical decisions, handle confrontations, and get home to your family while avoiding physical harm, social distress, psychological trauma, financial loss, and a plague of lawsuits.
Missouri law does not require a Concealed Carry permit holder to receive training with a holster. Our Concealed Carry Skill Builder Course meets the basic requirements and includes an introduction to drawing, presenting, and shooting from the holster as well as safe reholstering. We also work on movement and use of cover in regular, everyday surroundings.
We believe that a responsible citizen with a gun should develop his or her skill and technique with a pistol and holster.
Whether you are an experienced shooter, or brand new to pistols, you’ll develop basic skills to make life-saving decisions under stress and place shots on target in a timely manner.
Concealed Carry students begin with an online module (approximately 4 hours) covering the basics of the handgun as well as situational awareness and Missouri concealed carry statutes. This portion is required for students pursuing their MO Concealed Carry Permit.
Skill Builder starts with dry fire (using your handgun without ammunition) training portion in which we learn and practice essential defensive skills. We then go to Ozark Thunder Indoor Shooting Range in Farmington to verify skills with live fire and complete the Missouri-required qualification.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Pistol, 2 magazines, outside the waistband holster (NO holsters with a trigger-finger operated retention device such as the SERPA, no soft or floppy holsters), rigid mag carrier, sturdy belt, sunscreen, 100 rounds of training ammunition minimum.
Cost:
Skill Builder only: $100 per person + range fees
Skill Builder and Concealed Carry Permit: $175 per person, range fees included
