Worry Monster Workshop

Join us for a fun and creative workshop designed to help kids understand and manage anxiety. In this hands-on session, kids will craft their own Felt plushy Worry Monster — a cuddly companion to help catch, challenge, and change unhelpful thoughts, and learn healthy ways to cope with anxious feelings.

This workshop blends art, emotions, and mindfulness in a safe, supportive space.

All supplies are included and a light snack will be provided.

Suggested ages: 8-12 yrs (Kids must be able to work with needles and scissors independently).

No parental supervision required during the workshop. Participants may be dropped off at the beginning and picked up at the end of the session.

Once registered, you will receive a personalized email containing forms that each participant must complete before the workshop date. Then, simply get ready to come and create!

Please note: The workshop requires a minimum of four participants. If enrollment is below this threshold, the session will be canceled, and a full refund will be issued.

Info: Luisa received her master’s degree in art therapy from The George Washington University

and is a board-certified art therapist (ATR-BC.) She is an experienced visual artist with years of experience teaching art and facilitating expressive art groups and workshops. Luisa strongly believes in the power of the art-making process in healing.
