The Stan Hacking Band: A Summer Spectacular Concert

Get your Summer Holiday off to a flying musical start with The Stan Hacking Concert Band Summer Spectacular at the Barnfield Theatre.

Sit back, relax and let the music take control. Close your eyes and imagine yourself transported around the world as we take you on a wonderful musical journey. You will be served a cocktail of musical genres: arrangements of well-known Broadway Shows, the music of popular musicians presented in medley form and beautiful original works written for the unique sound of the Symphonic Concert Band. There will be something for all musical tastes. Whether you’re ‘young’ or ‘young at heart’ there’ll be something to excite your musical soul.

We are a 50 strong band of dedicated musicians, committed to providing music of a high standard to local audiences of all ages. Based in the Exeter area we rehearse weekly at Clyst St. Mary Village Hall, drawing players from the community and generally within a 40-mile radius. We were established in the early 1980’s by Stan Hacking who remained Musical Director until the year 2016 when due to ill health, he handed the baton to our current Musical Director – Barry Parsons.
