"Beats for a Better World" Jazz & Pop-Opera Piazza-Garden Concert

Kim Maguire and husband Peter Kahn present jazz and pop-opera concerts in their private piazza-garden in Kirkland, WA. "Beats for a Better World" features Seattle jazz luminaries Nicole Walters and Kim Maguire on vocals and the dynamic sounds of "The Seattle Pianist" Shawn Schlogel on keys.

The garden will open for social hour at 5:30 and the show is from 6-8pm. This is a BYOB event so bring your favorite libations and snacks. There will be a communal table as well. Glasses and utensils provided. Seating will be in the shade, all with a great view. The Kirkland, WA address will be revealed via your email ticket purchase receipt. "Beats for a Better World" spotlights the "WATER FOR CHILDREN" non-profit in support of the Hopi and Navajo Reservations. This nonprofit is also expanding to "Coffee for a Cause" working with farmers in Hawaii, Panama, Columbia, Kenya and El Salvador. Tax deductible donations (collected at the event) are appreciated but not obligatory. The "spotlight" is Kim and Peter's way of bringing awareness to this cause.

About Kim: With an illustrious career spanning three decades, Kim has made her mark in roles as a performer, educator, director, and producer. A 2017 Seattle/Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist finalist, Kim holds a prominent spot in the vocal Seattle jazz scene.
