International Lighthouse & lightships Weekend

Just a reminder that we are participating in the International Lighthouse and Lighship Weekend near the Carn Laith Broch outside Brora this weekend.

As in recent years we are setting up and operating alongside the Suntherland ARS.

Although it's a weekend event you don't need to come for the full weekend, just come when you wish on Saturday or Sunday, support your club and see what we get up to.

This is a great opportunity to operate in competition like conditions, it's not a competition so the atmosphere is more relaxed but you get the benefits of using a higher power station and good antenna. If you've not experienced a Field Day or Special Event Station this is a chance to see two in operation.

Its also a great social event and a chance to get to know people better and meet members of the Sutherland club. Tea and coffee is constantly available and a BBQ is regularly fired up (bring whatever you want to cook and put in a roll). An indication of who is coming would be appreciated.
