CTSI presents Yo, Vikings
Adapted from Judith Byron Schachner’s acclaimed book of the same name, Yo, Vikings! is the mini-saga of Emma Katz, the fiercest Viking in Swarthmore, PA, and her quest for real adventure.
Emma Katz is a spunky 10-year-old in the Philadelphia suburbs whose constant forays into her imagination (and consequent costume changes) put her at odds with her more conservative friends and family. When Emma's teacher assigns her Erik the Red for her World Discovery Day report, Emma begins to channel her own inner Viking, setting off on a real adventure to change her community for the better.
Yo, Vikings! combines sweeping melodies, thrilling Viking chants, and funky rock ’n’ roll with a beautiful, heartwarming story to engage and excite every member of the family.
The cast of students, grades 3-12, is under the direction of Mindy Sagez, with music direction by George Evans and choreography by John Parker.
The show runs approximately 90 minutes with a 15-minute intermission.
Tickets, available with reserved seating online at CTSIN.ORG at $16 for kids under 12 and $18 for 12 and up, will also be sold at the door prior to each performance.

The Crescent Room is at 621 S. Cullen Avenue, which is at the corner of Bellemeade and Cullen, in the Milestones/ Easter Seals building. Parking is off Bellemeade.
