MAYA LOVE (TRIBUTE BAND) plays a BOB DYLAN set in honor of his 84th birthday, at KESEY SQUARE in the heart of Eugene, OR on Friday, May 23 from 12-1pm as part of the ARTISTIC ENCOUNTERS series sponsored by Harmonic Laboatory and City of Eugene Cultural Services. The lineup for this set will be:
Rob Tobias: Keyboard, Vocals, Harmonica
Jeremy Wegner: Acoustic Guitar, Vocals
Larry Lynch: Guitar / Bass Guitar, Vocals
Brook Adams: Guitar / Bass Guitar, Vocals
Maya Love was formed in 2005 to pay tribute to the music of George Harrison and his music with The Beatles, his solo career, and through his collaborations with the Traveling Wilbury’s and others. The band has continued to play Harrison tributes but has also played tributes to John Lennon, The Beatles and Bob Dylan.
The band has performed for Private parties and venues such as Whirled Pies, Saturday Market, the Friendly Area Neighborhood picnic, The Friendly Garden, Emerald Par, Eugene Holiday Market and The WOW Hall.
Maya Love has a facebook page and videos of the band can be found on youbtube. Many of the tribute concerts that Maya Love has played have been benefits. They have raised money for many good causes including for St. Vincent de Paul’s Egan Warming Center, Mercy Corps, KEPW FM, The Bethel Student Health Center, and Food For Lane County.
