Jerril Nilson is a parade maker, graphic designer, and community instigator whose work has shaped Eugene’s arts landscape for decades. Founder/owner of JLN Design and a Very Old S.L.U.G Queen, Jerril has been at the forefront of Eugene’s parade culture since 1983, creating award-winning entries for the beloved Eugene Celebration Parade. She was honored with the Arts and Business Alliance of Eugene’s 2022 Dave Hauser Business of the Year Award, recognizing JLN Design’s demonstrated consistent and significant support of the creation and presentation of art in Eugene. You can find Jerril in the Black Rock Desert annually directing teams that facilitate egress traffic for a large event known as Burning Man.

Jenette Kime is an extremely organized (owner/operator of Organize That, LLC) and collaborative community instigator intricately involved with the Eugene Celebration Parade, the S.L.U.G. Queens (as our only Queen for more than one Rain), the Kinetic Grand Championship (Race Director), with mad skills in event planning and project management. She is currently the Transportation Options Coordinator for the City of Eugene Transportation Planning department and

co-conSPIRITor of the EUGENE BRiGHT Parade.

Jenette and Jerril were the unstoppable forces that brought the EUG Parade successfully to Eugene's Sunday Streets program in 2017, 2018, and 2019, with a video version in 2020. Jerril and Jenette first met as members of the all volunteer committee that produced the Eugene Celebration Parade.
