Cleveland History: The Past & Future of Irishtown Bend

The Padraic Pearse Center is excited to host a wonderful speaker event on Sunday, June 29th at 2PM in the Phil Walsh Cabaret Room of the Irish American Club East Side! (Doors open at 1:30PM)

Margaret Lynch, Executive Director of the Irish American Archives Society, and Greg Peckham, Executive Director of Land Studio, will share a glimpse of the past and future of Irishtown Bend. A forgotten neighborhood on Cleveland's near West Side, Irishtown Bend is soon to become a 25-acre park that will open in 2027. Land Studio is the project manager of the park development, while Irish American Archives Society is researching the history that will be celebrated along the park's "Heritage Trail."

Lynch will relate the "who, what, when, where, and why" of a hundred years of history on Irishtown Bend, while Peckham will preview the exciting plans for Irishtown Bend Park!
