Dear all,
For June I propose a discovery tour of Sardinian wines paired with good Sardinian food.
I will be visiting vineyards in Sardinia in May and plan to come back re-inspired by an island that I have long workshipped for the amazing wines that it produces, from subtle, mineral Vernaccia di Oristanos to fresh, zingy Vermentinos to rich red Cannonaus and Monica di Sardegnas and floral dessert wines, not to mention mirto.
Little known outside Italy, Sardinian wines deserve the same respect as those of Santorini and Sicily in my book. This tasting will show you why!
We will taste at least eight wines including white, red and a special dessert wine.
The tasting will take place at a Sardinian restaurant near Place Jourdan and include a selection of typical Sardinian dishes that pair well with the wines being served.
The tasting costs 65 euros per person and is limited to the first 30 people who register via Eventbrite.
