Whether you're just getting started or looking to reconnect with the basics, this on-location workshop is all about strengthening your observational sketching skills. We'll focus on graphite as a foundation—learning how to choose compelling subjects, simplify what we see, and use value and composition to bring sketches to life.

Matt Brehm is a seasoned Urban Sketcher and Professor of Architecture. He has been a workshop instructor at six Urban Sketchers International Symposiums. Expect plenty of demos, one-on-one instruction, and a chance to grow your skills in a supportive, creative environment.
