Hey garden friends! Guess what happens every Saturday from 10am-2pm? Only the BEST dirt-filled dance party in Eastpointe! (Okay, maybe the only dirt-filled dance party, but still THE BEST!)
Join us at the Eastpointe Community Garden for our weekly Garden Party where we grow veggies, friendships, and ridiculous tan lines all at once! No fancy invitation needed - just show up with whatever energy you've got that day.
What's happening?
• Planting, weeding, and harvesting for our Giving Garden (last year we donated 1,600+ pounds of fresh produce to folks who needed it!)
• Music that'll make your plants dance (and maybe you too)
• Spontaneous BBQs when someone remembers to bring the propane
• Knowledge sharing that never feels like a lecture
• The kind of conversations that only happen when your hands are busy and your heart is open
What to bring?
• Water bottle (staying hydrated is sexy)
• Sun protection (farmer tans are cool, but sunburns are not)
• Your favorite garden gloves if you've got 'em (we have extras if you don't)
• A friend who needs more plants in their life
• Zero gardening experience required! (Seriously, some of our best gardeners killed every houseplant they owned before finding us)
This weekly shindig is how we grow food for our neighbors, beautify our community, and accidentally create the friendships we didn't know we needed. Some folks come every week, others pop in monthly - it's all good!
The soil doesn't judge, and neither do we. Come as you are, stay as long as you like, and discover why playing in the dirt is the therapy we all need right now.
