About The Organizers:
Laurie Wagner Storlie combines her talents as an actor, improviser, and coach with her passion for the art of improvisation, which has captivated her since she first learned about it in high school. A proud alumna of prestigious comedy institutions Second City Hollywood and IO West (Improv Olympic), she refined her improvisational abilities in Los Angeles during the early 2000s' "Great Improv Explosion." Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of studying and performing alongside renowned improvisation masters.
After becoming a mother in 2011, Laurie applied her improv techniques to parenting, eventually founding Improvised Parenting to share these valuable skills with other parents. She later established Improv for Everyday Survival specifically to serve adults, where her work has revealed improv's profound impact on neurodivergent participants. These individuals often experience significant breakthroughs in social connection, spontaneous communication, and adaptability. In this supportive environment, neurodivergent adults develop confidence and flexible thinking while honoring their unique cognitive styles, showcasing improv's exceptional ability to foster growth across diverse neurological experiences.
Jenna Galligani, MS, LPC is a Licensed Therapist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner resilience. In 2023, she stepped out of her comfort zone and into an improv class with a friend—where she instantly fell in love with her first “yes.”
Since then, she’s been performing improv consistently and has taken the stage in several local theater productions. Jenna quickly recognized how the core principles of improv—presence, flexibility, connection—mirror the very tools she’s used in therapy for years.
Blending her deep therapeutic knowledge with the spontaneous, joyful world of improv, Jenna is passionate about empowering others to live with more presence, authenticity, and excitement for life.
