The under-18 Rotary Summer Cup takes place over 30 weekdays during the school holiday at the fully air-conditioned Chandlers Ford Snooker Club.
Daily cost is £10. Experienced players and complete beginners catered for. No dress code. No pre-registration. Non-members welcome. Full-sized and junior cues can be provided. Hours are 11am-3pm with free practice from 10.30am.
As well as a small daily prize and trophies for the overall winner, runner-up and third place, there are five weekly trophies to play for.
Beginners work with WPBSA snooker coach Tim Dunkley until they are ready to play proper frames.
All activities are handicapped to produce a level playing field.
The club has excellent WiFi so parents who can work remotely are welcome to work in the bar area.
This will be the 13th year that the competition has been running. It kicks off on Wednesday, July 23, and ends on Tuesday, September 2.
If you include the normal Saturday morning leagues, that makes 36 days of junior competition during the school holiday.
The week 1 competition runs for eight days from July 23-August 1.
