About the event

CHUBSTOCK 2025
EMC IS SO MASSIVE, WE'RE TAKING OVER THE GROVE THEATRE FOR A WHOLE DAY!

CHUB are proud to present the first edition of a (hopefully) annual festival, CHUBSTOCK.

An absolutely stacked line up featuring 14 very best bands the south coast has ever seen. Let's make it a messy one with:
- TIMED BEER BONGS with a special prize for the fastest overall of the day
- MARIO KART and GUITAR HERO between bands
- COMMUNITY MARKET featuring baked goods, photo prints, stickers, tarot and more
- SONGWRITING WORKSHOP presented by some of EMC's best songwriters
- LIVE CHILLI BILLIES for anyone brave enough to face the Carolina Reaper
- EMC INTERVIEWS for real insight into this amazing grassroots scene

Tribe of Ghosts:
Tribe Of Ghosts are an industrial/post-metal four piece based in Brighton, UK. The band's artistic vision came to fruition at the beginning of 2022 by combining electronic soundscapes, extreme metal influences and pop vocals with haunting and devastating effects - articulating a dystopian world falling apart that leaves listeners near speechless with catharsis.

CHUB:
Beer bongs and circle pits set to the soundtrack of a future Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game. It's good, filthy fun. Crowd favourite winners of Brighton Metal 2 the Masses, fully documented on bassist Zakk's YouTube channel Mead and Metal, CHUB are fresh off the heels of a blistering performance at Bloodstock Open Air. They're proud members of the amazing grassroots Eastbourne Music Collective, bursting out of their quiet seaside town to belch in the face of the 1%.

Chugzilla:
4 piece death/thrash metal band with a dash of nu metal and hardcore from south UK.

Kuld:
Kuld is an up and coming metal band from the South East of England. They are a melting pot of influences with decades of musical performance experience behind them. Their musical style is a collection of high energy riffs, tight, driving drum grooves, disgusting bass tones and vocals which soar like an eagle before cascading into the Nine Hells.

Gurf:
Three white-trash dudes from the fringes of society, hailing from the depressing, drug addled rural communities of Cornwall, Devon and Lincolnshire. They have come together through various addiction therapy groups to create GURF, the meatiest, sweatiest and all around juciest Math/Electro/Wierdo Metal band the UK has ever seen! Come catch us at a gig for an uncomfortable time! For Fans of: Mr. Bungle, Toska, Primus, Tera Melos, Car Bomb, El Moono etc.

Monovoid:
MONOVOID deliver a visceral mix of modern metal styles, bringing together elements of thrash, death, sludge and prog metal to create an uncompromising slab of sound.
They have worked with Wayne Adams (Pet Brick, Big Lad) of Bear Bites Horse Studios in London to produce their debut single and a forthcoming debut album, due for release in 2025.
Their debut single 'Immense Collapse' was released on 21st March 2025 and is available on all streaming platforms.

Loose Endz:
Loose Endz is a Nu Grunge band hailing from the coastal town of Eastbourne, England. Formed in 2022, the band consists of Four members: Lead Vocalist and Rhythm Guitarist Sam Campbell, Lead Guitarist Will Stephens, Bassist Lee Killington, and Drummer Henry Spalding.
Inspired by the sounds of Nirvana, Snot and Limp Bizkit, Loose Endz brings their own unique style to the grunge scene. With powerful guitar riffs, hard-hitting drums, heavily distorted bass and raw, harrowing vocals, the band blends elements of punk, sludge and old school nu metal to create a sound that is both heavy and disgusting.

Mortuary:
A melting pot of doomy, sludgy sound culminating into something weighty and bleak with bite. With pinches of Electric Wizard, Conan and Melvins - Mortuary is heavy on the bass and heavy on the riff.
