What is REIKI?
This is an ancient Japanese energy healing technique that utilizes universal life energy. The word "reiki" comes from the Japanese words rei, meaning universal, and ki, meaning life energy. Reiki helps balance your energy system promoting relaxation, reducing stress and improving your ability to heal. It is done with very light touch or with hands just above the body. Reiki is very gentle and safe for all populations.
Why learn Reiki?
Reiki is excellent for stress reduction, calming your nervous system, pain control and grounding. Learning Reiki will allow you to help yourself whenever you need it. Reiki I focuses on self-healing; however, you will be able to also help others, including family and pets. In Reiki II we delve deeper into Reiki energy, how to use Reiki on others and at a distance. You will also learn sacred Reiki symbols that allow you to direct Reiki in different ways. I teach a style of Reiki called Usui/Holy Fire™️ Reiki. This style uses a method called “Placements” instead of the more traditional “Attunements”. For an Attunement to take place the Reiki Master channels the energy and gives it to the student. In a Placement, the Reiki Master guides the student to the Reiki energy and they channel it directly. Both methods are equally effective. All styles of Reiki are wonderful. I choose to practice this style because it resonates with me. I encourage you to explore different Reiki styles and teachers before signing up for any classes.
