The Victorians - A Learning Experience

This exciting six-week course will look at the changing times under the reign of Queen Victoria. Between sessions you will read “The Ruby in the Smoke” by Philip Pullman.

During the sessions, using a comprehensive study guide, we will complete some activities on the book; learn about key historical events, key people and social change; and do some cooking, art and craft projects. We will end each session by watching the BBC dramatisation of the book covering what we have read that week.
