Join local paediatrician and debut children’s author Dr. Sharon Probert as she reads from her beautifully illustrated book Alvin’s Ears, the heartwarming tale of a young rabbit who faces bullying but finds the courage to stand tall. Packed with messages of kindness, resilience, and self-belief, it’s a perfect story for curious young minds and big-hearted grown-ups.

Inspired by real-life experiences from her work at Durham University Hospital, and as a parent, Sharon brings warmth, wisdom and humour to this special reading. Families will have the chance to meet the author, ask questions, and chat about the book’s important themes in a friendly, relaxed setting.

It’s a meaningful, magical way to spend a summer morning, and there might even be time for a game of Lettuce Ball before you hop off for lunch!
