Pauper is a constructed 60 card 1v1 format with a 15 card sideboard, with no more than 4 of any individual card in maindeck and sideboard except basic lands.
Pauper allows cards that are only common, but also cards that have ever been printed as common, so expect to see the odd uncommon reprint/first print when playing others. If a card is listed as a common on Gatherer (
https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Default.aspx) from any paper or online set*, it is legal in Pauper
*some common promo foils do not apply
