CALLING ALL SONG BIRDS!
To coincide with the long weekend we are delighted to present another popular Mix Tape Choir weekend singing workshop where we get up close and personal with a repertoire of jazz blues and soul ballads.
Be guided through a repertoire of familiar (or not so familiar) songs in a safe container by an experienced Dunedin-based jazz vocalist and creative, with accompaniment by talented guitarist, Alex Wolken.
For this special weekend workshop, we will focus on a selection of jazz blues 'standards' and soul classics from the 30s through to more recent times; an eclectic mix...
The approach is to demonstrate and teach the songs aurally, so no musical or site reading knowledge is required. It's relaxed and informal and singers of mixed experiences and backgrounds welcome!

Like the previous workshops and the highly popular weekly choir sessions, this workshop will give us an extended chunk of time - spread over two afternoon - with which to build a repertoire of
of popular songs and sing our hearts out with each other in a smaller intimate group.
Not only will we create a beautiful sound and have some fun, the stress-busting benefits of singing means you will leave feeling energised, uplifted and joyful, with friendships forged!
