Dundead Film Festival 2025

Dundee's dedicated horror and cult film festival returns for its thirteenth edition.

We've got a terrifying line-up for you at Dundead 2025, including a chilling selection of premieres and a collection of retrospective titles celebrating Italian horror, plus our nail-biting Dundead Film Quiz returns.

We celebrate brand-new horror with two UK premieres and four Scottish premieres. This section of our programme features films from all across the world, including France, Canada, Japan and Poland. Get ready for creepy coming-of-age tales, punk rock horror fans, unsettling animation and more.

For our retrospective strand we're delving into Italian horror and featuring some of the greats - Dario Argento, Mario Bava and Lucio Fulci are all included, and Bava's son Lamberto makes an appearance too. From gothic to trashy, supernatural spectacle to 'crazed' killer, we've got it all.

Depending on how brave you're feeling, you can immerse yourself in the festival with a Full or Half Pass. Each pass comes with some Dundead merch featuring our festival logo, which this year has been designed by Dundee-based illustrator Katriona Gillon. DCA Members and 18-25 Members get discounts on festival passes.
