Big Rock Records and Leisure & Culture Dundee are delighted to welcome Andrew Wasylyk and Tommy Perman for an audio-visual performance of their critically acclaimed album 'Ash Grey And The Gull Glides On’, featuring live brass and woodwind section.
This is a special fringe event celebrating Scotland's prestigious Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award coming to Dundee.
Wasylyk’s cinematic compositions have been nominated for previous Scottish Album of the Year Awards and awarded BBC Radio 6 Music’s Gideon Coe’s Album of the Year. He has collaborated with former National Poet for Scotland Liz Lochhead and written soundtracks for Radio 4.
Perman’s career has earned him a Scottish Bafta and taken him around the world. He has released records under his own name and with experimental group/arts collective FOUND. His artworks have been projected onto Sydney Opera House and collected by the National Museum of Scotland.
For several years these ground-breaking Scottish composers have orbited each other’s worlds through collaborations spanning record releases, film scores and sound installations.
A transcendental journey through electronic, ambient and neoclassical genres, documenting a forward-thinking union between two artists at the height of their creative powers. A unique evening not to be missed!
