Workshop — Verify Duncan Heart & Soul Statements

On Wednesday, June 18 we are going to present the heart and soul statements to the community in a 90 minute luncheon at The Garden Ballroom (805 W. Main, 3rd floor). These statements are a reflection of our story gathering process for this project.

We are asking people to eat before or after (the cafe’s hours are 11-2) so we can be interactive and engage in the workshop. We will have the draft of the statements as well as the data in a round table format so we can discuss at each table the data and make sure what we have put in the statements accurately what was said in the data. I want to share the purpose and the outcome we are looking for from this meeting.

Purpose: Engage the community in verifying Duncan’s Community Heart & Soul statements, based on the story data.

Outcome: Community input into the draft statements that will make sure we didn’t miss anything and reflect the stories of the community.

We will have 1 follow up meeting after this to make any corrections the good folks in the community say we need to make to match up with the data (which will come from this meeting). After corrections are made and the heart and soul statements are finalized, then we will schedule a community celebration to cap the project.
