Are you yearning for a space to sing with all your heart? Do you want to gather with others who are committed to the practice of devotional singing? Are you interested in learning songs from different cultural lineages, including European/Celtic singing traditions? Join us for a Community Song Circle on May 8th, guided by Hanna Elise and friends.
We’ll begin with a welcoming opening circle, then gently warm up our voices before moving into a mix of guided songs. Song sheets will be provided for some of the songs, and there may be space to play and explore through gently facilitated vocal improv, letting us create something beautiful together in the moment. If you have a song you’d like to share, please reach out! Accompanied by live instruments and percussion, this circle is open to all voices, backgrounds, and gender expressions. Whether you’re new to singing or have been singing your whole life, come as you are—we look forward to sharing this heartfelt evening of song, sound, and connection with you.

About the facilitator:
Of Dutch, Norse and Celtic settler ancestry, Hanna Elise (she/her) is a singer since birth! She believes that it is everyone’s birthright to sing. With 10+ years of classical voice technique and training, she has a variety of experience singing across multiple genres and styles including opera, jazz, folk, blues, and more! Hanna composed and co-produced an album in 2019, and consistently performs as a singer-songwriter and with her shared musical project, Emergence. With the goal of supporting others to access their innate creative genius and inner healer through vocal expression, Hanna focuses on healthy breath and vocal technique, as well as play, movement and improvisation! While creating a playful, gentle and grounded container, she strives to create a safe enough environment for people to access joy and freedom expressing themselves with their voice. She has been gathering sacred, ancestral and medicine songs from her own cultural lineage and those of others for the past 5 years, and has been facilitating song circles for 3+ years.
